We’ve always said that when Safe Events Global grows, we want our people to grow with us.

Mark and Martin have never claimed to have it all figured out and, when the company expanded rapidly, they were comfortable that things would develop more as we all continued to learn how things work best here.

That’s why we’re so pleased to share two team promotions here that reflect the evolution of our work and the brilliant people behind it.

Julianne is now Head of Design.

Since joining in 2022, Julianne has helped raise the bar for how our safety messaging looks and feels.

She’s been the creative force behind much of our in-house designs, from clean, clear site content, to playful social graphics and thoughtful design systems for our projects.

“When I joined Safe Events Global back in 2022, I never imagined I’d be leading an amazing in-house design team just three years later. It’s a real testament to our Directors’ vision and their commitment to doing things differently to deliver the best for our clients. I’m lucky to work with two brilliant designers, and together we have the freedom to create more engaging, creative assets than you’d typically expect from a health and safety company. Excited for the next chapter!”

Speaking about Julianne’s elevation to Head of Design, Mark in here said:

“We are not your typical safety company. We know that. We are purposely different. I doubt too many safety companies of our size have a Design Department of 3 people. It’s a core department for us though and what Julianne and her colleagues consistently bring to the work that we do always impresses me. They elevate what we do and how we deliver our key messaging.

We are delighted to be able to promote Julianne to our new role of Head of Design and we look forward to seeing how things continue to develop.”

Krissie is now Head of Marketing & Communications.
This one feels a little strange to write in the third person but I’m excited to step into the role. Over the past two years, I’ve had the chance to shape how we communicate through content, strategy, original video series, and by facilitating learning via the webinars I’ve helped bring to life. I’ve loved building relationships, telling stories from the ground, and learning the ropes of the events world.
This new title reflects a broader responsibility but I still get to keep the parts of the job I’ve enjoyed most. Here’s to learning more, doing more, and helping Safe Events Global keep growing.

Mark had this to say about Krissie and her new role here:

“Krissie has always fit in so well here and she has nailed the key elements of her previous role. She took the role, shaped it and helped us all understand best what elements were key and where we should focus. With Krissie’s background in event marketing and her broad experience and interests, we feel broadening her remit would work well for everyone.

Considering my own background is marketing, we’ve never overtly ‘marketed’ Safe Events Global in a traditional way. We do what we do on social and digital and tend to play a medium to long game. You can expect to see some additions to our marketing approach, with Krissie leading on communicating what we do, how we do it, our value proposition and more in a variety of ways.”

As a company, we’re always looking ahead. But it’s just as important to stop and recognise the progress we’ve already made.

These team promotions reflect that, both for the business and for the people helping to drive it forward.
