Introduction

We are offering a superb placement opportunity in 2026.

We offered a placement opportunity this year (2025) and it worked really well.

Thea stayed with us for longer than her placement period.

She is now back in college finishing her final year.

That’s her in the picture above, working on Dublin Pride with us this year.

We are approaching it similarly for 2026.

We want you to apply in a very specific way.

Be sure to read this post and follow the instructions.

The placement can be:

  • At any time of the year
  • Last for any length of time

We will make the timing and length of placement etc. work for the right person.

Finding the right person to join us is the key here.

The details

If you’re successful in this process, you will be a Project Assistant, supporting our Operations / Project Management Department.

You will work across various events, getting a broad range of experience.

We will involve you in as many aspects of the planning and delivery of events as we can realistically achieve.

You do NOT have to be into safety for events.

We are event people who specialise, as a company, in Crowd and Event Safety. Not everyone in here works in safety roles on events.

For 2026, we either know we will work on or fully expect to be involved in:

  • Wild Lights at Dublin Zoo
  • European Motor Show in the RDS
  • Obstacle Course Racing World Championships in Limerick
  • Dublin Pride
  • Detailed Master Planning (DMP) project for a Mega Project in the Middle East
  • Soundstorm in Saudi Arabia
  • Events in multiple venue clients’ properties throughout the Middle East
  • Some golf events
  • Horseracing events at Goodwood in the UK
  • A major private event at Luttrellstown Castle, Dublin

Current or recent clients include:

  • Dublin City Council
  • MCD
  • Lusail International Circuit, Qatar
  • Stories Ireland
  • Robert Bird Group
  • Dublin Zoo
  • MDLBEAST
  • Goodwood
  • Alter Agent
  • Rotana

You can find out loads more about us and the types of events we work on by spending some time on our website as well as on our YouTube channel.

Deadline for applications is 17.46 on the 21st of November 2025.

Send your application to danielle.clemmer@safeevents.ie

We can offer you:

  • Payment. Gaining experience by working with us should not cost you money. We will pay you.
  • Structured learning. We piloted a structured learning programme with Thea during her placement this year and it worked well. It helps ensure you get the most value from your time with us as possible. That’s our goal.
  • Opportunities on and exposure to both Irish and international events.
  • Variety of internal and external training opportunities.
  • Potential international travel opportunities.
  • Real-world experience on real events, some on a mega scale, to bolster your CV / Professional Profile
  • Potential of a full-time role offer once you complete your course
  • Some good quality event clothing and gear, potentially

This will be an amazing opportunity for the right person.

If we don’t find the right person, then we don’t.

Ideally, you:

  • Know of us, about us and how we do what we do
  • Are sure we are a good fit for you
  • Are able to be in our Dublin (Ireland) HQ a couple of days a week
  • Have an interest in Health & Safety for events
  • Have a full, clean drivers licence
  • Are interested in learning all about events and the real world of events
  • Want to work on a variety of events alongside all sorts of great event partners
  • Enjoy working on both the planning (office) and delivery (on site) of all sorts of events
  • Want to accelerate your entry into the domestic and / or international event markets

Some of the above are not dealbreakers for the right person.

Apply if you believe this is for you.

How to apply

Be creative.

At a MINIMUM, you MUST send us a video introducing yourself and making it clear why you’re the right person for this opportunity.

We did it this way last year and it worked SO well. Thea came across as a perfect fit for us and that is our lived experience of having her with us for well over half a year.

You may also send us anything else (CV, Cover Letter, Portfolio, References, notes from your Mum) that you think will illustrate to us that you are the right person for this opportunity.

There is NO version of applying for this where you don’t include a video. That’s non-negotiable.

You must email your application. We won’t accept it any other way.

Convince us you’re the right fit for us.

Good luck, and remember. . .

WE are not for everyone and everyone is NOT for us.

Suss us out. Check our social media. Check our website. Ask around about us.

GOOD LUCK!
