Introduction

We are offering a paid placement opportunity in 2025 for a student looking to gain experience in events as part of their course.

We only ever offer placements when (1) we are sure we have enough work for the student to be involved in so it’s of benefit to them and (2) we are organised enough to sort it out well in advance. . . 🙈

The placement can be:

  • At any time of the year
  • Last for any length of time

We will make the timing and length of placement etc. work for the right person.

What is key to us is that the right person gets this opportunity – both for them and for us.

The details

If you secure this placement opportunity, you will be a Project Assistant, supporting our Operations / Project Management Department.

You will work across various events, getting a broad range of experience.

We will involve you in as many aspects of the planning and delivery of events as we can offer you.

You do NOT have to be into safety for events. We are event people who specialise, as a company, in Crowd and Event Safety. Not everyone in here works in safety roles on events.

For 2025, we either know we will work on or fully expect to be involved in:

  • Wild Lights at Dublin Zoo
  • XP (Saudi Arabia)
  • Dublin Pride
  • Soundstorm (Saudi Arabia)
  • Dublin Tech Summit
  • Balad Beast (Saudi Arabia)
  • XP Music Futures (Saudi Arabia)
  • Events in multiple venue clients’ properties throughout the Middle East
  • Expo 2025 (Japan)

Current or recent clients include:

  • Dublin City Council
  • Horse Racing Ireland
  • Robert Bird Group
  • Dublin Zoo
  • MDLBEAST
  • UL Sport
  • GAA
  • Rotana
  • Fuel
  • Conference Partners

You can find out loads more about us and the types of events we work on by spending some time on this here website as well as on our YouTube channel.

Deadline for applications is 14.38 on the 15th November 2024.

Send your application to mark@safeevents.ie

We can offer you:

  • Payment for your work with us. At an absolute minimum, we do not want working with us costing you money. We remember what it was like being a student.
  • Opportunities on and exposure to both Irish and international events.
  • Variety of internal and external training opportunities.
  • Potential international travel opportunities.
  • Real-world experience on real events, some on a mega scale, to bolster your CV / Professional Profile
  • Potential of a full-time role offer once you complete your course (if you like us and we like you, of course!)
  • Some good quality event clothing and gear.

This placement opportunity will be amazing for the right person.

We can guarantee that.

Ideally, you:

  • Are able to be in our Dublin (Ireland) HQ a couple of days a week.
  • Are interested in Health & Safety for events.
  • Have a full, clean drivers licence.
  • Are interested in learning all about events and the real world of events.
  • Want to work on a variety of events alongside all sorts of great event partners.
  • Enjoy working on both the planning (office) and delivery (on site) of all sorts of events.
  • Want to accelerate your entry into the domestic and / or international event markets.

Some of the above are not dealbreakers for the right person – so please do apply if you fancy it.

Testing is critical

How to apply

Get. Creative.

You MUST send us a video introducing yourself and making it clear why you’re the right person for this opportunity.

You may also send us anything else (CV, Cover Letter, Portfolio, References, notes from your Mum) that you think will illustrate to us that you are the right person for this opportunity.

There is NO version of applying for this where you don’t include a video. That’s non-negotiable.

You must email your application. We won’t accept it any other way.

We’ve had great experiences with placement students in the past with many going on to continue working with us.

That could be in your future.

If you convince us you’re the right fit for us.

Good luck, and remember. . .

WE are not for everyone and everyone is NOT for us.
