our PROJECT DIRECTOR

Matt is Project Director at Safe Events Global and is based in Hull, in the UK

He is a vastly experienced and acknowledged Health & Safety Advisor with 10+ years experience in Events and Media Safety, with an operational Fire Safety background.

He is a Leader in the industry, working for some of the world’s largest promoters and most ambitious projects over the years. He helps clients deliver complex projects worldwide with auditable results to drive year-on-year improvements.

He is an excellent communicator, able to collaborate with contractors and Authorities all around the world to international standards and best practice, ensuring the delivery of a project within agreed timelines.

Areas of Focus

As Project Director, Matt is regular on the ground, early on in client projects, to ensure things kick off properly. He sets the tone, established our operations and either stays on to lead the Operational Team or moves on to the next project, appointing an Operational Safety Manager to lead in his absence.

He looks to incorporate training / up-skilling into our deployments, where possible, and regularly leads on a wide range of practical and impactful training initiatives on our event sites.

His background as a firefighter lends deep insight into our work in Fire Life Safety, perfectly complementing the technical knowledge present within the Senior Leadership Team.
