In March 2024, we invited the good folks in The Square Metre Group over to Dublin to run their Level 5 Award in Crowd Safety Management (RQF) course publicly for the first time.
Having worked alongside Andy and the team at The Square Metre Group operationally in the Middle East and knowing how well regarded this crowd safety course is, we decided it was time to offer it in Ireland.
We had consulted with several of our freelance team members around this one and it made sense to offer it. Specialists in Crowd Safety / Crowd Science etc. are critical to our Mission to keep people safe at events. Not just ours, either.
The course was open to members of the public, while we also had members of our own full-time team attend also. Further, we subsidised the cost by 50% for any of our Safe Events Global freelance team that wanted to attend also.
This course is delivered all around the world on a regular basis. We know that thousands of people have already completed it.
It is an intensive course. Consequently, it is designed to deliver a high level of strategic safety knowledge in a short period of time.
Day 3 sees attendees applying the learning from the first couple of days to an event plan of their choice. Therefore, this is done in smaller groups and they present back to the class.

This course was part of a run of courses we ran in Q1 of 2024. It included a ‘Making Decisions in Event Control in a Crisis‘ too, which we funded as part of our company Vision and was very popular.
